Xeeban's Studio

Pictures of my studio

Overview of my studio, which is just a corner of my apartment next to the kitchen...

Here is a shot of my Motif 8. My bread and butter sounds, as well as my piano stand-in. The weighted keys are to die for. The water cooler helps keep me hydrated on those hot summer days. And the little remote control Hummer on the floor is for creative breaks from time to time.

Next to the Motif is my main mixing and monitoring area. Here you can also see my Yamaha CS6x which is used mainly as a MIDI controller, but it can also produce some decent ambient and dance sounds. The Mixer is a Behringer UB1836FX-Pro and under it is a Presonus Firestation that sends the audio and midi to my DAW. The monitors are M-Audio BX5s. Underneath the monitors, you can see my ultra custom monitor stands. They double as emergency food in case of emergency or disaster. On the other rack is a new EMU 6400 Ultra which I am trying hard to understand and master.

Directly behind the mixing station is my trusty software and sample shelf. All within easy reach.

And finally at the far end of my studio is my DAW space. I run a 1.8 Ghz Pentium 4 machine with dual monitors. Primary software is Sonar and Fruityloops. The Albino softsynth also gets very heavy use in a lot of my music. I also have a Sony Viao laptop that I use as a mobile studio, as well as for daily tasks of surfing the web and checking email. Notice the two old style IBM model M keyboards. One is for the DAW and the other for the Emu 6400 Ultra. They are the best keyboards ever made by man.
